The French Miki anchor at Charleston

A mix of seafood and French cuisine, all served in a modern style, on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. This is the idea of French Chef Nico Romo, developed in the U.S city of Charleston. 

After over ten years spent preparing fish at the Upper King restaurant, he launched an authentic brasserie with a French contemporary twist where food products are mainly prepared over a wood fire.  

 

An instinctive and audacious cuisine which is all the more unique when the cooks are proudly wearing a distinctive French accoutrement. Nico asked Béton Ciré to create a Miki especially for his kitchen's sailors, not only to accessorize their workwear but also to offer them comfort in the kitchen. And so, behind each oven, you can spot a teammates wearing a denim Miki customized to the restaurant’s icon and discreetly raised the traditional colours of the French flag. An original hat that will hopefully bring them luck on this voyage full of flavours!
